Thank you so much for sharing loudly and proudly, and for raising this staggering sum.

I live in Minneapolis, and I am treasuring every sign of of solidarity from across the country. In these past few weeks I've found myself being braver than I expected, because I see other people being brave. Our victory depends on our love and concern for our neighbors being louder than those who hate and divide. ❤️

I sent $250 but was rushed to get onto a project on deadline, so report it now without receipt.

Thank you so much for the challenge, and grateful thanks for your words today. I love deep in rural New Mexico and amplifying the words of others, sometimes with comments, sometimes letting a quote speak for the author by itself, and giving money to organizations that fight, or help are about all I can do. I’ve traveled to the NoKings protest, and boycott as I can, although imperfectly. So having your recognition of the good in that means a lot.

Remarkable.

And so important to be brave.

Sent out this quote this morning in a newsletter that is typically quietly inclusive:

Author Toni Morrison, in a 1979 Barnard College commencement address, said that "the function of freedom is to free somebody else."

There's no longer any time to be quiet.
