my week in objects (mostly).
paint brushes, postcards, and milk glass knobs, among other things.
1. these paintings.
{but really, the whole exhibit.}
2. this paint brush.
{and being able to mostly de-gunk it.}
3. this cabinet knob.
{for being in a room where sunlight hits it.}
4. this little fan.
{for being more quiet than all the other little fans.}
5. this library stack.
{but especially the library itself, for being just around the corner.}
other things:
they were of the land. they knew its every contour.
[his] distractions always double as a reiteration of his white supremacist beliefs.
Thanks for letting us know about the Hilma af Klint exhibition. I'm making a note on my calendar to try to visit it while in NY next month. An exhibition of flowers feels particularly fortuitous right now as I am knitting an "Anemone Sweater," for my granddaughter. My version is also using jewel-toned colors and knitting with more than one color is a new challenge for me. I needed to try a more challenging project this year -- as one does to stay sane when in the midst of a battle against fascism and, lately, dealing with a bout of red baiting.
That’s gorgeous! Is it close to a train station. We’d be coming from Worcester or Boston.
