my week in objects (mostly).
beeswax wraps, highlighter pencils, and yellow tulips. mostly, sunshine.
1. this beeswax wrap.
{ and the way the light hit it while it dried.}
2. these past-prime tulips.
{for being so yellow.}
3. this kitchen drawer.
{for being freshly reorganized.}
2. this pencil stub.
{in more afternoon light.}
5. these drying dress shirts.
{all in a row.}
other things:
what does it mean to stand in the ruins.
They grow tulips not far from where I live (the fields are quite something to see - growing against a backdrop of the North Atlantic sea)! So we get them young and thirsty. But! Even young they would always droop on me until I got a little tip - if you quickly stick a sewing needle right through their stems, just a bit under the bloom, they remarkably stay upright! It’s like magic! And they keep on standing up for a long while. You likely already know this tip but just maybe for once I have some homespun tips to share back! 😊
