Erin, when I click on a link you posted, does the brand get access to my email address? Is this a substack thing? I clicked on a link that was posted on substack (may not have been yours, I can't remember) and did not enter any personal info or buy anything. The next day, I got an email from the company thanking me for checking out their site.

I've figured out that it was an email that a trusted company sent which included a bunch of links for small businesses. The link I clicked on sent me to a small business. The small business got my email address via SafeOpt.
