Here at the extended Boyle homestead, we’re in mourning. Two mainstays of my dad’s Pandora stations have died and the world without musical legends Robbie Robertson and Sixto Rodriguez does, admittedly, feel a little less bright. So, besides putting The Weight on repeat and weeping quietly in the corner, I’m curious about what other folks are listening to.
My own musical taste leans a bit folky and a bit country with a heavy smattering of lovable geriatrics I just can’t quit. I’ve been blasting Margot Price’s Midwest Farmer's Daughter all summer but I could use a new perfect album to wear down the grooves on.
What to do about music? Calling old favorites, new favorites, top 40 bops, shower belters, howlers, bootlegs, you name it.
