In case it makes you feel better (not existentially better about the state of the planet, just better about the very annoying yet necessary task of putting in an air conditioner a few weeks before fall!) I just read that due to El Niño, the northeast can expect a temperate winter and might also face an unusually warm autumn, so unfortunately that ac might be in longer than we would all like. Here’s hoping our kids’ classrooms aren’t all 90 degrees tomorrow...
