That Guardian article - thanks so much for sharing. We have items in our kitchen from the kitchens of two of our grandmas and I love thinking of them when I use their measuring spoons and bowls and hot pads and serving spoons. I also have an assortment of matching tea cups and saucers from my grandma that I always intend to use more than I do - sigh. But I do love seeing them every day in a glass fronted cabinet.
me too! my great great grandmother’s enamel spoons hang above the stove in my kitchen. i’m wary about using them because of the possible lead content, but i love seeing them there and thinking about her using them in her own brooklyn kitchen.
the sarah musa scarf is so beautiful, thank you for sharing!
